My Limited Halloween Decorations

Just a couple hours ago I realized it was the 29th and Halloween is almost here. So, I looked online for some printables to download & use for the house and trick-or-treat bags, then I scavenged my storage of October goodies to put some sort of Halloween-ness to my house. Here's what I came up with:

First, I have a grocery bag full of bags of web from Target a few years back. So I attacked the bush outside my house.

Then, I printed off these bad boys from Lia Griffith  and put them on my front door using tape. Of course, I wiped my door down first to make sure they would stay stuck. The garland was from storage, I think Target again.

I put "halloween" vertical only because the door design would have made it difficult, well maybe it would have just taken more thinking and creative time...I was kind of just going for quick and easy here. Which brings me to my next point, I don't even know if it's centered or straight...and I really don't care haha ;)

Now I found these guys on HGTV here. It's the one labeled "Trick-or-Treat Tote Bag Templates". I cut them using my 2" hole punch from Fiskars and I plan on putting them in my goodie bags for the Trick-or-Treaters.

Oh and I grabbed these halloween coloring pages from snapfish here

For my goodie bags I also have some glowsticks from last year. Now all that's missing is some candy and a bag of fruit snacks! Just some background here, I make goodie bags because I don't get a lot of trick-or-treaters around my neighborhood, so I make 10-20 little fun-filled bags and give them out instead ;)

As for the house, I grabbed my pumpkins from storage and laid them on my stacked books, and my big pillow ones on the couch.

There you have it, quick simple, and I never changed from my pj's! I call that #winning ;)

How did you decorate? Do you decorate? What are you giving your halloweeners this year?

Until Next Time!

Mind Your Mondays - Goals by the END of 2013

Goals by the END of 2013

The year is coming to an end, FAST! I like to make some goals to achieve while coming to the end. It makes it fun! Here are the goals:

- Do 3 photoshoots
- Scrapbook/project life {I haven’t done so in umm 10 months?}
- Gain control over my student loans {my grace period is pretty much over}
- Get reading again {refer to this post}
- revamp my {this} blog
- learn something new
- craft something {I’m craving some good ol’ paper and scissor action!}
- celebrate something
- drink some wine {have a girls night!}
- do something DIFFERENT {I love mixing things up}

What do you hope to do before the year is over!?

Until Next Time!

Fifty Shades Withdrawals

Image from Google
Don't laugh.
But seriously, I am having withdrawals from reading the fifty shades trilogy.
So, one day I was just wondering what all the fuss was about and downloaded the sample for the first book on my kindle. After finishing that, it leads you to the page to buy it and I didn't hesitate for a second. I bought the trilogy set on kindle.
A few days later I finished it. While I was reading, I would actually put off doing things, and rather find myself laying in bed all propped up reading my kindle. It was kind of pathetic. I would rather read than do things in the real world. What is worse is that the drama and story going on in the book affected my real life! When I wasn't reading, I was thinking about what was going on, and the events in the book would be what I lived in life. Not literally, but mentally. This all sounds too lame to be true. But I'm trying to be honest here.
After finishing it, I was bored. I literally didn't know what to do with myself. I didn't want to do anything except read and I had read it all. My life suddenly was boring because I was living vicariously through their story. It was my world...I looked forward to diving into that world each day and now that I'm done, I don't know what to do.
When I finished, I looked on my kindle for other books to read, in any genre. I found nothing I wanted to read. I found books I wanted to read, but when I started reading them I was only thinking about Fifty Shades and therefore, not involving myself in the other books at all.
I don't know why I want to keep reading this story, it isn't like it left me hanging or anything. It summed up really well at the end. So I didn't want to keep reading due to incompleteness, but rather to keep living the life. I'm Lame.
Now, don't get me wrong, I am not referring to the sex. I'm actually referring to the story, which is why this romance/erotic story hit it big. You don't often see erotic romance in the headlines, this is because it's usually too corny and doesn't have a good story line. That's why this one stands out, it's beautiful. Truly.
I have nothing but good words, it was a beautiful story, and extreme, which happens to be a common trait in the books I honestly enjoy.... I feel like such a fan girl, but I'm sad there's no more to read and that I only got to vicariously live that life for a few short days.
As a result of this book, I learned more about wines & champagnes (I'm being serious). Also, I had more sex that week hahahaha (for real, though).

Alright, go ahead and laugh at me. BUT don't be shy and hide your story about a good book that took over your life! I want to read it!

Until Next Time!
